Survey COVID-19 - 1129 Interviews - 18 Provinces 12nd-30th June

MIRA – Research Angola interviewed 1129 individuals, in the 18 Angolan Provinces  in the last fortnight of June.

70% report experiencing a reduction in their income.

51% of respondents are very worried about the COVID pandemic.

Getting infected is clearly the main concern – 83% report fearing becoming infected or someone in their family becoming infected. The economic situation is also something that worries respondents: 48% indicate that they are afraid of becoming unemployed and 28% are worried about rising prices.

Regarding the behaviors adopted to protect themselves from infection, Angolans report frequent hand washing (84%) in addition to wearing a mask (79%). It is interesting to note that 42% indicate that they are leaving the house less.
